Eric Johnston, President

Eric brings almost 40 years of senior healthcare/retirement industry experience to RCS. Prior to founding RCS, Eric’s business accomplishments include his role as President of Retirement Living Affiliates (RLA), President and co-founder of The Regent Healthcare Corporation and President and majority stockholder of a privately held retirement living and long-term care operation. He is a former President of the Arizona Assisted Living Federation of America. In addition, he has served on the boards of numerous trade and industry groups and spearheaded the introduction of hospitality, customer relations, strategic planning, and more recently Total Quality Management (TQM) into the healthcare and retirement industry throughout the Southwest. Eric received his MBA degree from University of Phoenix.

Eric’s dedication to ethics, success and people serves as the foundation that has earned RCS’ communities the reputation of being communities of choice for residents and staff alike.


 

Cara Baldwin, Dining and Environmental Specialist

Cara has spent 45 years working in the hospitality field. Following more than 20 years working in hotels and restaurants, she started her career in the senior living industry 25 years ago holding various positions within management and dining at companies like Kendal, Benchmark Assisted Living, Mather Lifeways and Brookdale Senior Living. Cara has opened at least 15 new start up communities participating in all aspects of design and operations for the dining operations. She was also credited with decertifying a Union in dining and housekeeping bringing these critical operations in house. She spent a year in the Executive Director role at Sunrise before becoming a Senior District Director for Brookdale where she worked with over 260 communities in the West Division.

Cara earned a degree in Accounting from Champlain College and received her certification as a Dietary Manager and Certified Food Protection Professional from the University of Florida. She is also a Certified Teacher and Procter for the ServSafe national program for the National Restaurant Association. She has spoken at multiple state assisted living conferences and was successful leading the team of chefs who won the “Iron Chef” competition at the annual conference in Chicago in 2009.

She joined RCS in 2015 and assists with operational goals in dining, maintenance, and housekeeping, as well as coordinating group purchasing for the company.


 

Wanda Tutelo, Training and Program Specialist

Wanda is an experienced Geriatric Nurse, Assisted Living Manager and Professional Educational Trainer. She has received two awards for her work from the Arizona Assisted Living Federation of America. Wanda was the recipient of the Shining Star Award in 2011 for Assisted Living Center Manager of the Year as well as an Award of Appreciation in 2010 for Innovative Educational Programing. Wanda is also the author of a family guide to Alzheimer’s disease titled, “It Is More Than Simple Aging.”


 

Rosalba Compean, Human Resources Specialist

Rosalba joined the RCS Specialists team in October 2015.  As a Human Resources Generalist, she is responsible for the execution of all human resources initiatives including recruitment, retention, employee relations, benefits, payroll and compliance. She brings over 12 years of tactical and operational human resources experience.  Rosalba holds a BA degree in HR Management, a Masters in HR Management and Training, and a Master of Business Administration.


 

Paula McDowell, Training Support Specialist

As RCS’s Training and Support Specialist, Paula enjoys creating new programs that engage the whole person, with special attention on those that nurture and enrich the heart, body, mind and spirit. She specializes in coordinating adult education programs and creating and delivering vibrant training presentations. Paula began her career as a Registered Dietitian focusing on nutritional and medical needs that change with age. Prior to joining RCS in 2016, Paula was the Director of Vibrant Living at Generations at Agritopia.


 

Kim Butler, Project Accountant

Kim brings significant experience to RCS where her focus is financial statement production in addition to business office support. Kim holds a BA in Education from Ottawa University and an AA in Business.
